Invisalign (Orthodontics)

The Tooth Company provides a full range of Orthodontic treatments for Kids and Adults.

All of the treatments are performed by our in house specialist Orthodontist Dr Shaz MacAvoy. The Tooth Company is one of the few dental practices in New Zealand where by general dentists work alongside specialists providing the most complete care available.

Orthodontics is a complex field of dentistry and is best performed by a specialist who has undergone full time specialised training.

Options available for straightening teeth are either Braces (Traditional/Clear/Invisible) or Invisalign (Clear Aligners).

Invisalign

Clear aligners are a popular orthodontic treatment as they are so easy to use and are almost invisible. These are ideal for those who are in the public eye or who simply want to smile without braces showing.

At The Tooth Company we are proud to use the highest quality aligners available, Invisalign. Proven effective in clinical research and used in orthodontic clinics throughout the world, Invisalign clear aligners can give you that smile you’ve always dreamed of in a safe, aesthetic and proven way. Invisalign works through a series of a clear, removable and comfortable aligners that are very discreet.

A personalised Invisalign treatment plan will be created for you based on impressions taken by your specialist orthodontist. The impressions taken provide information that is used during your Invisalign treatment and also determine the number of aligners required for your specific orthodontic treatment.

Each Invisalign aligner is worn for 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As each Invisalign aligner is replaced, gradual movement of the teeth occurs, resulting in a straighter smile.

You will be required to visit your specialist orthodontist at The Tooth Company every 4 to 6 weeks so that we can ensure all necessary movements are occurring.

How long does Invisalign take?

The length of treatment depends on how much tooth movement is required to straighten your teeth. On average most Invisalign cases can be completed with in 12 months. Age also influences the length of treatment as teeth will move quicker in younger patients.

How much does Invisalign cost ?

The cost of Invisalign is again determined by how long the treatment will take, and this is determined by how much tooth movement is required to straighten your teeth. On average short cases of Invisalign can cost around $4000 and longer complex cases can cost upwards of around $8000-9000

The first step is making an appointment for an Orthodontic Examination with our Specialist Orthodontist – Dr Shaz MacAvoy to determine the correct treatment plan to straighten your teeth.
