Gum Health is vitally important to our overall health. Poor gum health can lead to Gum Disease, which has been linked to Heart Disease and other Chronic Illness, not to mention bad breath. The first sign of poor gum health is if your gums bleed when you brush or floss known as Gingivitis.

A scale removes any tarter and plaque from around your teeth. It is this tarter and plaque that is the main culprit behind gum disease.

Polishing removes any stains that sit on your tooth surface. Any deeper staining may require Teeth Whitening.

How much does a clean cost ?

The cost for Scaling and Polishing depends on the overall health of your gums. Patients with gum disease will spend a lot more time in the chair and incur more cost.

For new patients to the practice, your initial clean appointment is $195 for 1 hour. After this, regular appointments (from every 3 – 12 months) start at $185 for healthy gums to $285 for those with poor gum health.
