The Tooth Company – britomart.org
With a founding philosophy of fun, ease and accessibility, this down-to-earth kiwi dental practice promises to take at least some of the fear out of going to the dentist.
Based on the belief that “going to the dentist really shouldn’t be that hard”, The Tooth Company approach is all about creating happy, relaxed customers who don’t fear going to the dentist. “People wanted a more welcoming clinic, less smoke and mirrors, more flexible hours, dentists who they could relate to, and dentists who listened” says Andrew. And it’s a formula that’s worked.
The dentistry brand’s modern clinic, which is located within historic Charter House is the second for the company and sees “hi-tech new age dentistry” meet the warm, rich history of the Britomart precinct.
Herbst Maxcey Architects have created a modern, welcoming space which eschews the sterility of “the stereotypical dental look” in favour of one of warmth and welcoming. The design celebrates new and old, embracing the space’s original décor and juxtaposing brick and recycled Rimu walls with “ultra modern floating glass treatment rooms” to create a feeling of tranquility and relaxation.
COSMETIC DENTISTRY AND CERAMIC RESTORATION
The Tooth Company at Britomart offers a full range of general, specialist and emergency dental treatments. Alongside examinations, hygiene treatments and fillings, special interest areas include cosmetic dentistry and computer designed ceramic reconstructions using CAD-CAM technology and all treatments can be undertaken with IV sedation.
Emergency dental treatment for issues including broken teeth, tooth pain and wisdom tooth removal are all offered at the Britomart practice, and the clinic works in tandem with its Smales Farm sister clinic – just 10 minutes drive away – to meet patients’ every dental need seven days a week.
